- Leslie recorded a gospel CD in 2004 with Kevin Clark's liturgical jazz band. Can anybody tell us where to find it? There might have also been one in 2003.
- Leslie sang lead for now defunct "Evangeline" bringing them their first record deal. During her tenure with the Cajun Zydeco group she had lost her mind and changed her name to "Leslie Doyle" making it difficult for some of her hardcore fans to find this little gem. It has been located in the Netherlands. If anyone else knows where that record is- let us know!!
Title: Louisiana Aye Yi Yi . Released on: Renegade Records. - There is an "Album" that Leslie sang on back when she was very young. It may be her first released recording. "Creole Christmas," a benefit record for Toys For Tots, was recorded at SeaSaint studios in New Orleans. This joint effort included Aaron Neville, Allen Toussaint, Erma Thomas, John Lee and the Heralds of Christ, Luther Kent and Leslie. Up until the close of SeaSaint every time you'd walk into the studio during the holiday season, odds were pretty good you'd hear Leslie's cut.
We haven't heard it for years however, and if anybody finds it, let us know!
To Be Released Someday
- Leslie has cuts on Theryl "Houseman" DeCluet's new solo record. She can also be heard singing background vocals on several cuts. We've been hearing about its release for two years now. Tell him to put it out!
- Leslie was blessed to write lyrics on four songs for George Porter Jr's new solo project. Somebody tell David Torkanowsky to finish mixing it!
- Renard Poche' has a great solo record done - almost - that Leslie donated vocals to and writing on one song. Find him and tell him to release it now!
- Iris May Tango has a new record. Leslie is singing a cameo on "Go Daddy Go!"
- Topsy Chapman plans to do an arrangement of one of Leslie's jazz songs "I am Blue" written with local jazz monster Mike Pellera. Topsy's divinely fabulous daughters will be harmonizing this song with their divinely fabulous mom. Look for it!
